Grace Kids

Vision and Mission

Grace Kids seeks to embody the prized place children occupy in Christ’s kingdom. We seek to love children, serve them, look after them, involve them, hear their noises, learn from them, and come alongside their families to raise them up because we believe this pleases our Lord.

We proclaim the promises of Jesus to them, in ways they can understand and not yet understand fully, but will one day, in the Spirit’s time.We imagine children growing in the fear and knowledge of the Lord, participating meaningfully in Christ’s body, and offering our congregation a sense of Jesus’s kingdom that only they can provide.

The mission of Grace Kids is to enter into partnership with parents as they disciple and raise their children and to provide meaningful formation opportunities in a fun and safe environment. For more information about Grace Kids contact Paige Bierman (paige@gracebham.org).

As Our Kids Grow in Our Church

Grace Kids seeks to grow over time to meet the growing and changing needs of our church. Though these values are present along the journey, at each stage of development we seek to “add” one more point of emphasis to our work with kids. The bolded values relfect each point of emphasis in each stage.

Home Groups

One of our core convictions is to be a church that is deeply devoted to the fellowship (Acts 2:42ff). The primary way we pursue this Christian unity and belonging is through our Home Groups. Our Home Groups meet once a week and are hosted by members of our congregation distributed across Homewood, Hoover, Vestavia Hills, and Birmingham. While there are many possible applications for small groups within a local church, we want our Home Groups to be (1) A nuclear family within our extended family at Grace Fellowship, (2) Built upon God’s word and faithful prayer, (3) A resource for extending our congregational care to the ends of our church body, and (4) A faithful rhythm of worship that forms us, as we simply gather in Christ’s name. If you are new to Grace, this is a great place to start getting more integrated into our body.(john@gracebham.org).

Congregational Care at Grace

A healthy church grows in the skill of loving one another, bearing with one another, speaking the truth to one another, and encouraging hrough life’s dangers, toils, and snares. Grace’s Elders, Ministry Team (Staff), and Care Team stand ready to offer support. Further, through a variety of other means, Grace members participate in loving one another.
